Marvellous Macedonians
Keith, from Aventine Miniatures, has just sent me a padded envelope containing thirty assorted Macedonian Pikemen. They are beautiful figures. Adam's sculpting goes from strength to strength. By now he must be one of the very best sculptors of 28mm wargames figures working today. Keith's casting is proper 'top end' too - even taking my glasses off and peering at the figures from 3" away, I'm struggling to see any mould lines. …

On Sunday, I'm putting on a 'demo' of AVGVSTVS to AVRELIAN at Partizan. It's going to be 'Early Imperial' Romans against Britons, and the basic premise behind the game is that it's set in the early stages of Agricola's campaigns in the North - a precursor to conquering Caledonia. I suppose I'll call the game 'Bashing the Brigantes'. …

Testing, testing...
This is just a test! Karelia Software have released a new version of Sandvox, which I'm trying to use. The beginnings have been a bit shaky - I've felt rather like a beta-tester, because versions 2.0 to 2.0.2 have been, essentially, unusable for updating a current site. I'm hoping that 2.0.3 will be usable - fingers crossed!
