Well, it has been a very busy week so far, and I have hardly even thought about painting, let alone had time to actually do any! I did receive some transfers from Steve at Little Big Men Studios yesterday. One set is a sheet of Sassanid banners - so amazingly colourful and beautifully drawn that I hardly like to use them! But I will - I've got my eye on one in particular to use for the army standard, when I get around to needing one, and I've got uses for a couple of others too - the 'savaran' (armoured cataphract cavalry) will be quite spectacular, and deserve a fancy flag. In addition I got a more mundane sheet for my Roman light cavalry. That's probably going to be my next unit - hoping to crack on with that over the next few days, if I get any time. I ought to get some time - we're all having two weeks off, the first week spent around home, with a few day-trips thrown in, ought to be quite good for painting. The second week, we're going to Center Parcs. Lots of sport and stuff, which will be fun, but the evenings can get a bit dull, so having some modelling along is good - I'm hoping to take some of the 'multi-part' A&A cavalry to work on. If I can get those cleaned up and assembled, I should be in good shape for some serious painting time once the kids are back at school.
