Happy Christmas everyone!
In some ways, this has been a fairly momentous year, wargaming-wise - for one thing, I've published a set of wargames rules. In other ways though, it hasn't been all that great. My painting mojo has been AWOL (Absent WithOut Leave) for far too long.
I have just been fifty, and the world didn't end - just as well, as my 50th was the day after the supposed end of the world. Unsurprisingly (given that I placed the order), I did get three items from Battleflag - their jail, gunsmith's shop and gallows. I have assembled the gallows already, and it is awaiting paint. It went together very easily. The instructions are very good and clear, and the kits very attractive. Make sure you read, and follow, the instructions carefully - some of the parts are remarkably similar whilst not being the same, and it would be fairly easy to make mistakes from which recovery might be nigh impossible. They're impressive products, and Richard Lowles, the proprietor, is very friendly and helpful. More when I have more time! Highly recommended.
