Not a huge amount of progress lately - I've been busy with all sorts over the past week, from Christmas shopping to entertaining the in-Laws. I have painted a dozen A&A Miniatures Sassanid foot archers, which are more or less the same as the first lot, so I shan't bother posting any photos - the old ones can be seen in the Sassanid Photo Album. I am expecting some more Sassanid archers soon, this time from Miniature Design Studio.
I'm hoping that Hicksy will finish off the Sassanid shields soon, so I can get them cast up and finish off the Sassanid spearmen.
I am still pondering my next project - ECW, for a change from Romans, is sounding more and more attractive. Today I sold a few surplus roleplaying bits to a local shop, which netted £45 - near enough the price of Warlord's Pike and Shot 'Christmas Starter Army'. Terrain won't be much of a problem - I can use the temperate stuff I did for the Romans (and before that, the Lord of the Rings) with, maybe, a few 'period pieces' (like a half-timbered inn or something) to set the scene.
