The postman has just delivered the greens (greys really!) of the replacement Sassanid infantry shields which Hicksy has made me. They look great - I blue-tacked them to a couple of figures to get an idea of how they'll look when they're done. Size-wise, they're about perfect, and the detail looks excellent. I just hope they cast up okay! I can't show you any photos yet - the missus has gone to Northampton with my camera! Monday perhaps. If there's sufficient interest, I might consider getting a production mould made, and selling them. Otherwise, I'll just get a master mould done, and have enough for my own use cast up.
The postman also delivered a little packet of pre-production castings of some forthcoming items for Warlord Games' Early Imperial Roman range. I am not at liberty to divulge what they are, but they are lovely models and I'm really looking forward to getting on with painting them next week.
