I think my new camera is too clever by half. It's taken me about two hundred shots to get this reasonable image. I spent most of the time turning 'features' off, one by one, so that the image was reasonably sharp and detailed. In the default modes it seems to do far too much 'processing' on the image as it's saving it. Anyway, I think I might now have an idea which settings I need to turn off to get a reasonable picture!
The models are Warlord Games' new Roman Legionary Slingers, with some very small changes. I've equipped one kneeling guy with a sword arm from the Veterans set, and I decided that loading a sling whilst holding a shield was hard enough, without also trying to hold pila, so I used 'plain' shields. Other than that, they're out of the box. It's a very flexible set, becaue it also comes with arms wielding pila as well as the slinger arms and you can use weapon arms from the plastic sets too! The centurion is a plastic one from my spares box, and the other two command figures are from the metal command sets.
