A Third Unit of Savaran
I have charged through the latter stages of the third unit of Savaran - there's a photo in my Sassanid Photo Album. Apart from, possibly (if Hicksy ever sends the masters to me) changing the shields on the infantry for some which more closely resemble those revealed by archaeological excavation, I have nothing left to do for the Sassanids - I'd need to buy more figures if I was going to add any more units. It all adds up to a grand total of 3,018 WAB points - and that's plenty for an 8' wide table. I don't have space for anything bigger, so there's no point in painting any more Sassanids!
Next up is either a cohort of 16 Roman archers, or eight Roman cavalry, to add to one of my auxiliary cohorts in order to make a cohors equitata. And then that'll be it for Romans too...
After that it's going to be Pyrrhus against Rome. I'm going to use Aventine Miniatures' Republican Romans and, most probably, start out with Gripping Beast's 'Polemarch' successors for Pyrrhus' army, adding models from Aventine once they get around to doing some. Shield transfers will, of course, some from Steve Hales of Little Big Men Studios.
